The Astronics / C&H Technologies VX403C is a VXI Industry Pack Carrier Module that integrates up to four single-height IP modules—or two double-height modules—into a single VXI slot. Each installed IP module appears as an independent VXI instrument with its own logical address, mechanical interface, and control path. The carrier provides 50-pin header interfaces accessible from the front panel, enabling direct electrical and data connectivity to Units Under Test through a library of over 200 available IP modules.
## Technical Specifications
• **VXIbus Compliance:** ANSI/IEEE Std 1014-1987, VXIbus Revision 1.4; operates as 16/24/32:D16 DTB Slave
• **Form Factor:** Size C carrier; dimensions 233.35 mm (9.187 in) high × 160 mm (6.299 in) deep for 20.32 mm (0.8 in) slot spacing
• **IP Module Capacity:** Up to four single-height or two double-height Industry Pack modules per carrier
• **IP Interface:** Standard 50-pin IDC socket headers on each module slot
• **Power Supply Requirements:** +5V (1.2 A typical) and +12V from VXI backplane; isolated and filtered supplies provided to IP modules
• **Trigger Interface:** VXI TTL trigger lines (up to eight) configurable via jumpers to any combination of resident IP strobe inputs
• **Interrupt Handling:** Each IP module supports two independently programmable interrupts; individual interrupt vectors and release capability (RORA/ROAK) per module
## Key Features
• Individual logical addressing for each installed IP module enables independent control and monitoring
• Flexible trigger routing allows single-line synchronization across all IPs or independent clocking of individual modules
• Modular design supports custom UUT interfaces through selection and combination of industry-standard IP modules
• Isolated power distribution protects IP modules from backplane noise
## Typical Applications
Multi-channel test systems requiring diverse signal interfaces; automated test equipment leveraging IP module specialization; VXI-based measurement and stimulus configurations.
## Compatibility & Integration
Fully compliant with VXIbus Specification Revision 1.4 for register-based modules and VMEbus Specification ANSI/IEEE STD 1014-1987, IEC 821.
