The Emerson Motion Control EP-225F-A is a 16-point digital output module for the PACSystems™ RSTi-EP remote I/O system. Each output delivers 0.5 A at 24 VDC with positive logic switching up to 1 kHz on resistive loads. The module integrates into distributed control architectures via PROFINET RT, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP, and EtherCAT protocols, enabling high-density I/O placement at point-of-use locations to minimize wiring infrastructure. Operating across -20°C to +60°C, the EP-225F-A features individual channel diagnostics, status LEDs, and hot-swap capability for live module replacement. The system bus operates at 48 Mbps, reading up to 256 discrete I/O points in 20 milliseconds. Independent input and output power buses allow selective channel activation without full module power cycling.
