The EXFO EPM-102 is a handheld optical power meter engineered for accurate measurement of optical signal levels across fiber optic networks. Purpose-built for the 850 nm wavelength, this instrument delivers the measurement reliability field technicians and network engineers require for cable installation verification, signal attenuation analysis, and LAN/WAN network troubleshooting without premium pricing.

## Technical Specifications

Measurement range spans 10 dBm to –60 dBm, with display capability down to –65 dBm and 0.01 dB resolution. Power uncertainty is ±5 % ± 1 nW. The meter operates across six calibrated wavelengths: 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, and 1625 nm, enabling multi-wavelength network diagnostics from short-reach LAN segments to long-haul and access networks.

Automatic offset nulling and reference value setting streamline field procedures. Battery autonomy reaches 300 hours on three AA cells, with optional AC adapter for sustained indoor use. Operating temperature range is –10 °C to 50 °C; storage rated to –40 °C to 70 °C in up to 95 % relative humidity (non-condensing).
