The HP/Agilent 35660A is a two-channel dynamic signal analyzer delivering FFT-based spectrum and network measurements from DC to 102.4 kHz. Built for precision low-frequency characterization, it performs linear and power spectrum analysis, frequency response, gain/phase, group delay, and power spectral density measurements across electronics, mechanical, and acoustic applications. The instrument combines a 70 dBV dynamic range with noise floors as low as -140 dBV/√Hz above 1.28 kHz, achieving ±0.5 dB amplitude accuracy and ±30 ppm frequency accuracy. Dual-channel capability supports network analysis to 51.2 kHz with matched gain (±0.4 dB) and phase (±1.0°). An internal signal source generates random noise, periodic chirp, and fixed sine excitations. Automated limit testing, waveform math, data tables, and HP Instrument BASIC programming enable flexible measurement workflows. HP-IB control, onboard 3.5-inch floppy storage, and monochrome CRT display round out the platform.
