The HP/Agilent 5373A Modulation Domain Pulse Analyzer characterizes pulsed RF signals with precision modulation and carrier frequency measurements. Purpose-built for complex signal analysis, this instrument measures agile carriers, staggered Pulse Repetition Interval (PRI), chirp, phase coding, and other intentional or unintentional modulations across frequency bands to 500 MHz, expandable to 2 GHz. It delivers envelope parameter measurements including pulse width, PRI, peak envelope power, percent AM, and jitter with timing resolution to 200 ps single-shot and 2 ps for averaged measurements. The analyzer executes up to 13 million measurements per second, making it suitable for military radar, air traffic control, weather radar, and space-based radar system development. Built-in math functions, statistics, limit testing, and calculated Allan Variance support rapid signal characterization. A graphic display with histogram capability enables visual analysis of complex modulation signatures.
