The HP/Agilent 83630L is a synthesized swept-CW generator delivering precise signal generation across 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz with +13 dBm calibrated output power. Built for microwave component and system testing, it combines wide frequency coverage with analog sweep capability, multiple modulation formats, and step-attenuator support for dynamic range extension to −110 dBm minimum settable output.

## Technical Specifications

**Frequency Range:** 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz

**Output Power:** Calibrated at +13 dBm; −110 dBm minimum settable with step attenuator (Option 001). Typical harmonics: −50 dBc below 26.5 GHz. Leveled output power is reduced by 1.5 dB to 20 GHz, 2 dB above 20 GHz, and 2.5 dB above 40 GHz. Temperature specification window: 15 °C to 35 °C (degraded 0.3 dB outside this range).

**Phase Noise:** SSB phase noise <−80 dBc at 10 GHz, 10 kHz offset.

**Frequency Resolution:** 1 kHz standard; 1 Hz with Option 008. Output power resolution: 0.02 dB.

**Frequency Switching Time:** 10 ms typical (without attenuator change). Step sweep switching: 15 ms + (step size/1 GHz) × 5 ms within a frequency band.

**Temperature Stability:** 0.01 dB/°C typical.
