The ILX Lightwave CSM-39800 is an 8 A laser diode current source module engineered for precise, stable control of laser diodes within the ILX Lightwave LDC-3900 Modular Laser Diode Controller mainframe. This module delivers up to 4000 mA of adjustable output current with 100 µA resolution and ±0.1% of full-scale accuracy, supporting both constant current and constant power operation modes. Built-in laser diode protection circuits and electrical isolation from other mainframe modules eliminate ground loop-induced damage. The CSM-39800 is now obsolete but remains suitable for legacy research, development, and production test systems requiring high-precision diode current management.
