The JDS Fitel RM3750B Backreflect Meter is a portable, direct-display instrument for precise measurement of backreflection, insertion loss, and optical power in single-mode fiber optic systems. Equipped with a dual-wavelength integrated light source at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, it delivers backreflection sensitivity to -75 dB with ±0.4 dB relative accuracy. The instrument features FC/APC ultra-low backreflection connectors and a 2 mm InGaAs detector optimized for singlemode (9/125 µm) fiber. Direct digital display enables immediate result interpretation, while user-adjustable calibration and extraneous backreflection compensation ensure measurement integrity across connector testing, component evaluation, and installation verification workflows. An internal rechargeable battery supports field portability. Data logging to computer or serial printer occurs via RS-232 interface and foot pedal control.
