The JDS Uniphase HA9W1+20KFP1 is a programmable optical attenuator for precision control of optical power in test, laboratory, and field calibration environments. It delivers 0 to 100 dB attenuation with 0.01 dB resolution and ±0.1 dB typical accuracy, supporting wavelengths from 1200 to 1700 nm across multimode and single-mode fiber. The instrument handles up to 200 mW optical input power and provides beam block attenuation exceeding 110 dB in under 20 ms, making it suitable for optical power meter verification, component calibration, and fiber optic link loss simulation.

Front-panel keyboard control combines with GPIB (IEEE 488.2) and RS232 remote interfaces for flexible integration. The attenuator runs SCPI and HP 8156A-compatible command sets with supplied LabVIEW drivers, ensuring compatibility with established test workflows. FC/PC connectors standard; universal connector adapter options support FC/PC, SC/PC, ST/PC, FC/APC, and SC/APC terminations.
