The JDS Uniphase SWS-CD Optical Modulator SWS20008 is a modulator module designed for the JDS Uniphase SWS2000 Swept Wavelength System, enabling advanced characterization of passive optical components and fibers. When combined with an RF modulator and OMNI Receiver, the SWS-CD extends system capability to measure Group Delay (GD) and Differential Group Delay (DGD) alongside insertion loss, polarization dependent loss, and other critical parameters. The module integrates into a distributed architecture supporting multiple measurement stations and employs Virtual Modulation Frequency Feature (VMFF) for flexible post-processing of optical measurements.
