The FiberPro PS160A is a high-speed polarization scrambler designed to eliminate polarization-dependent fluctuations in optical systems within the C-band. It rapidly modulates the polarization state of an optical signal, averaging the Degree of Polarization (DOP) to near zero over time. This capability is essential for accurate characterization of polarization-dependent loss (PDL) and polarization-dependent gain (PDG) in components such as EDFAs, making it critical for R&D and manufacturing of fiber optic devices.
