The JDSU E8136LR is a field-interchangeable Long Range OTDR plug-in module engineered for comprehensive fiber optic network testing and fault localization across short-haul, long-haul, and very long-haul deployments. This singlemode-only module delivers dynamic range up to 50 dB and pinpoints fiber breaks, splice losses, and attenuation with precision dead zones as short as 0.8 m. It characterizes fiber length, attenuation, and splice loss while discriminating failures within patch panels and distribution frames—critical for commissioning and field troubleshooting.
