The Keysight 33220A is a 20 MHz function and arbitrary waveform generator designed for signal synthesis across research, development, education, and manufacturing applications. It generates five standard waveforms—sine, square, triangle/ramp, pulse, and white noise—plus user-defined arbitrary waveforms with 14-bit resolution at 50 MSa/s sample rate. Output amplitude ranges from 1 mVpp to 10 Vpp into a 50 Ω load, with a DC offset capability of ±5 V. The instrument supports AM, FM, PM, FSK, and sweep modulation with linear and logarithmic sweep modes spanning 1 ms to 1000 s. Triggering options include internal, external (TTL-compatible), manual, and line sources with edge, pulse width, and state trigger modes. A backlit LCD display and intuitive front-panel menu system enable direct operation, while LAN, USB, and optional GPIB interfaces support SCPI remote control. The 33220A fits compact benchtop installations at 260.6 mm width and 3.8 kg mass, operating across 0 °C to 55 °C with 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz power input.
