The Keysight/Agilent/HP 44472A is a dual 1×4 VHF multiplexer module that routes and switches signals across two independent, electrically isolated channel groups. This module excels in precision measurement applications demanding high signal integrity. Insertion loss remains under 0.5 dB at 30 MHz and below 1.25 dB at 300 MHz. Within-group crosstalk reaches −100 dB at 30 MHz, degrading to −85 dB at higher frequencies. Group-to-group isolation is maintained at −85 dB (30 MHz), −65 dB (100 MHz), and −50 dB (300 MHz). VSWR performance stays below 1.43 across the operating range.
Voltage handling includes 250 V DC or 30 V AC RMS (42 V AC peak) center-to-center, with 42 V DC maximum center-to-low. Current per channel is rated at 30 mA DC or 300 mA AC RMS. Thermal offset remains below 15 µV, while closed-channel resistance is under 1 Ohm. DC isolation exceeds 10⁷ Ohms at controlled humidity conditions.
Signal integrity specifications include rise time under 0.7 nsec and propagation delay under 2.5 nsec, with channel-to-channel matching better than 90 psec. Capacitive parasitics are tightly controlled: center-to-center below 0.002 pF and center-to-low under 70 pF.
