The Keysight/Agilent/HP 83430A Lightwave Digital Source is a directly modulated DFB laser engineered for high-speed optical communication system testing. It converts digital and analog input signals into stable, accurate optical outputs for evaluating receivers and transceivers across SDH/SONET networks. The instrument delivers wavelength-selectable, directly modulated laser output with user-adjustable extinction ratio and supports data rates from 52 Mb/s to 2.488 Gb/s.
