The Measurement Computing CIO-EXP16 is a 16-channel differential analog multiplexer board that expands the input capacity of DAS08 and DAS16 series data acquisition boards. It multiplexes 16 differential inputs into a single-ended output routable to one A/D channel, enabling 8-channel boards to scale to 128 inputs and 16-channel boards to 256 inputs through multiple unit cascading. On-board signal amplifiers with user-selectable gains and integrated cold junction compensation circuitry enable direct thermocouple measurement across J, K, T, E, S, R, and B type thermocouple standards.

– Compatibility & Integration
Connects via two 37-pin D-type connectors (P1, P2) wired 1:1. Board-to-A/D connectivity requires application-specific cables (C37FF-x for DAS08 series; C-MUXAD16-10 for CIO-DAS 1400/1600/16). Daisy-chaining of CIO-EXP16 boards is supported using C37FF-x cables.
