The Microchip/TrueTime PCI-SG is a multi-function time and frequency PCI plug-in module that delivers precise synchronization and time distribution to computer systems via 32-bit PCI bus. It accepts IRIG A/B time codes, external 1 PPS signals, or 10 MHz inputs, and disciplines an internal TCXO oscillator to these references. In standalone mode, the module operates as a frequency generator using its onboard oscillator. The PCI-SG captures time stamps, events, and status information with 100 ns clock resolution, supporting zero-latency time reads across the PCI interface.
