The Muetta PLPS2005 is a microprocessor-controlled programmable laser power supply engineered for semiconductor laser characterization. It drives laser diodes while simultaneously measuring laser voltage, current, and reverse clamping voltage. The instrument biases and measures monitor diodes, modulator diodes, and external photocells with adjustable voltages, including sensitive dark current measurement of monitor photodiodes. Dynamic measurement capability allows real-time acquisition of light-current slope characteristics at specified operating points.
