Equipment info

The National Instruments PCI-4472 is a high-accuracy data acquisition card for audio and vibration measurement applications. It delivers eight simultaneously sampled analog input channels, each with 24-bit delta-sigma ADC resolution, supporting sample rates up to 102.4 kS/s. The card features software-selectable AC/DC coupling, built-in IEPE signal conditioning for direct accelerometer and microphone connectivity, and automatic antialiasing filters that track the selected sampling rate. A 110 dB dynamic range and THD + noise floor of -102 dB (1 kHz, -1 dBFS, 50 kHz bandwidth) enable precision measurements in demanding environments. Overvoltage protection on positive inputs reaches ±42.4 Vpk. The pseudodifferential input architecture with 1,023-sample FIFO buffer and DMA data transfers integrates into PCI-based systems. External triggering via 5 V TTL/CMOS edge-sensitive digital input, plus RTSI synchronization, allows coordinated operation with other National Instruments devices. A 3.4 Hz high-pass filter provides AC coupling capability.
