The Newport 426 and 436 Series are precision linear translation stages engineered for high-resolution positioning in research and industrial optical systems. Built with crossed-roller bearings on ground steel V-ways, these low-profile stages deliver minimal runout and exceptional repeatability. Both series accommodate manual or motorized actuators in left- or right-hand configurations via rigid stainless steel mounting. A reversible lock secures positioning without influencing stage performance. Solid and apertured platform versions feature 1/4-20 or M6 tapped holes; apertured models (426A/436A) provide a 2 inch (50.8 mm) aperture diameter with 0.625 inch (16 mm) unobscured travel.
