The NH Research 4600-36kW is a 36 kW AC electronic load that simulates diverse operating conditions for power conversion device testing. It emulates linear and non-linear loads with programmable crest factor and power factor control, making it ideal for validating UPS systems, AC sources, inverters, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, and connectors under dynamic and transient conditions.

The load operates in seven modes: Constant Current, Constant Resistance, Constant Voltage, Constant Power, Short Circuit, Unity Power Factor, and Complex Non-Linear Waveform. Internal measurement accuracy reaches 0.1% for voltage, 0.2% for current, and 0.5% for true power (applicable above 10% of range). The instrument measures frequency, voltage, peak voltage, current, peak current, crest factor, apparent power, true power, peak power, reactive power, power factor, and resistance.
