The NI 9474 is an 8-channel C-Series sourcing digital output module for industrial automation and control systems. It operates across 5 VDC to 30 VDC supply ranges and delivers up to 1.0 A per channel with a 1 µs maximum update rate. The module mounts directly into NI CompactDAQ or CompactRIO chassis without modification, providing platform flexibility for distributed I/O architectures. Screw terminal connectivity accommodates 26 AWG to 14 AWG copper conductors, enabling direct interfacing with motors, actuators, relays, and other industrial loads. Internal flyback diodes eliminate external protection components when driving inductive loads. Transient overvoltage protection rated at 2,300 Vrms between output channels and backplane ensures reliability in harsh electrical environments.
