Equipment info

The NoiseCom MP2700 is a multipath fading emulator that simulates one or two wireless communication channels with propagation over up to 12 distinct signal paths. It generates calibrated noise signals across a broad frequency spectrum for testing and evaluating communication systems, electronic warfare equipment, and RF/microwave applications.

Technical Specifications

• RF Input Bandwidth: Up to 24 MHz
• AGC Range: 0 to −40 dBm
• Delay Resolution: 500 picoseconds
• Delay Range: 500 microseconds
• Processing: 12-bit real-time processing with 65 MHz DSP technology
• Signal Paths: Up to 12 paths per channel
• Doppler Image Rejection: High rejection capability
• Noise Floor: Low noise floor

– Key Features

• Dual-channel architecture supports independent or correlated fading scenarios
• Static or dynamic operating modes for flexible test configurations
• High-resolution delay control enables precise multipath simulation
• 500 picosecond delay resolution supports narrowband to wideband characterization
• Low noise floor and superior Doppler image rejection improve measurement accuracy

– Typical Applications

• Receiver sensitivity and performance validation
• Fading channel characterization for wireless systems
• Electronic warfare equipment testing
• Spread spectrum communication system evaluation
• RF and microwave subsystem qualification

– Compatibility & Integration

IEEE-488.2 interface enables remote control and integration into automated test environments. The MP2700 Series represents the current generation; migration guidance exists for users of earlier MP2500 and MP2600 systems.
