Measurement performance spans +6 dBm to -60 dBm with 0.01 dB resolution and ±0.25 dB accuracy (at 25°C, -10 dBm per N.I.S.T. standards). The germanium detector supports power readout in dB, dBm, and µW units. Wave ID automatic wavelength identification and switching integrates with compatible Noyes light sources, while tone detection at 270 Hz, 330 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz (operational to -50 dBm, -45 dBm at 850 nm) enables fiber identification in field deployments.
Data logging stores up to 500 records per wavelength for insertion loss or power analysis. Records download via Mini-USB Type B to Windows-compatible TRM 2.0 software for detailed reporting and archival. The meter operates on two AA alkaline batteries (approximately 300 hours runtime) with optional rechargeable NiMH pack or AC adapter.
