The Ophir 5016 is a solid-state Class A RF amplifier delivering 25 Watts minimum saturated output power across the 800–2000 MHz band. Purpose-built for linear amplification of CW, AM, FM, PM, and pulsed signals, it achieves +44 dB minimum gain with exceptional linearity: +53 dBm typical IP3, ±2.0 dB gain flatness, and 2:1 input VSWR. Harmonics measure −20 dBc typical at 20 Watts output; spurious signals stay below −60 dBc typical. The unit operates from single-phase 100–240 VAC mains at 300 Watts maximum input and mounts in standard 19-inch rack frames (5.25 inches high, 20 inches deep, 40 lbs).

– Key Features
• Type-N RF connectors (input/output)
• Internal forced-air cooling
• RF input: 0 dBm nominal; +10 dBm maximum
• Wide modulation compatibility
• Operates 0–50 °C; up to 95% non-condensing humidity; altitude to 10,000 feet
• Four ordering configurations: rear/front RF connector options with or without front panel controller
• Optional front panel controller provides VSWR protection against any load condition, local status display, and remote command via Ethernet, IEEE-488, or RS-232
• VVA-based gain control; standby, mode, and calibration functions
– Compatibility & Integration
Available with rear (R/RE) or front (F/FE) RF connectors. Models with front panel controller (RE/FE) enable remote operation and full load mismatch protection across all phase angles. Standard Ethernet, RS-232, and IEEE-488 interfaces support integration into automated test systems.
