The Pickering 10-110-012 is a general-purpose reed relay switching module designed for constructing small switching networks, controlling external devices, and slaving larger switches. This 3U Eurocard standard module houses 8 changeover reed relays available in SPDT or DPDT configurations. Two switch types are offered: dry reed switches with ruthenium contacts for economical applications, and mercury wetted switches for extended operational life, lower contact resistance, and superior contact resistance stability.
Technical Specifications
• Module Format: 3U height Eurocard standard, 160 mm deep
• Relay Configuration: 8 × changeover reed relays per module
• Pole Options: Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) or Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT)
• Switch Types: Dry reed (ruthenium) or mercury wetted
• Panel Width: 1.2 inches (D-type connector versions); 2.4 inches (screw terminal versions)

– Key Features
• Screened, plug-in module design for EMI rejection
• Two connector options: 37-way D-type or screw terminals
• Mating connectors: 37-way D-type plug with crimp pins (Part number 10-960-037)
• Mercury wetted option for demanding switching applications requiring minimal contact resistance variation
• Dry reed alternative for cost-sensitive general-purpose switching
– Typical Applications
• Small-scale switching networks
• External device control (lamps, solenoids)
• Relay multiplexing and signal routing
• System integration within larger test and measurement architectures
– Compatibility & Integration
The 10-110-012 integrates directly into Pickering’s System 10 switching platforms. As a passive switching component, it functions within larger systems controlled via IEEE-488, RS-232, or Ethernet interfaces implemented through dedicated modules within the host chassis.
