The Polytec OFV-511 is a fiber-optic sensor head for non-contact laser Doppler vibrometry that measures surface vibrations by analyzing frequency shifts in back-scattered laser light. It delivers instantaneous velocity and displacement data when paired with a compatible Polytec vibrometer controller and appropriate decoders. The fiber-optic design enables access to hard-to-reach measurement points while maintaining Class 2 laser safety classification.
