The PM-204B is a precision optical power meter for fiber optic network characterization across LAN, WAN, CATV, and long-distance transmission environments. It measures optical power from -50 dBm to +26 dBm with ±5% ± 10 nW accuracy at 1550 nm and delivers 0.01 dB resolution across its primary operating range. The meter automatically detects wavelengths and supports six calibrated bands: 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, and 1625 nm. When paired with compatible Stabilized Laser Sources, it enables fiber identification, attenuation measurement, continuity verification, and link quality assessment. Auto-wavelength recognition with digital encrypted protocol support integrates with LS200 Series Light Sources. The unit stores up to 1,000 measurements and transfers data to PC via USB. Tone detection at 270 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz aids in fiber tracing and identification.
