The Racal 1256 is a high-performance switching system mainframe designed for automated test equipment (ATE) applications. This compact 2U rack-mountable platform integrates multiple switching and digital I/O functions through the modular Adapt-a-Switch™ plug-in system. With Ethernet 10/100, GPIB, and RS-232 interfaces, it supports remote control and network connectivity for distributed test environments. The 1256 delivers scanning speeds exceeding 100 channels per second and relay switching that closes or opens more than 200 channels in less than 0.1 second, enabling rapid test cycles with minimal downtime.
