The Rohde & Schwarz EFL240 is a portable TV test receiver for field analysis of analog and digital television signals across multiple standards. Technical Specifications
Frequency coverage spans 5 MHz to 2500 MHz, with dedicated bands for FM sound broadcasting (88–108 MHz), terrestrial and cable TV (5–1500 MHz), and satellite reception (950–2200 MHz). The instrument performs multistandard analysis of DVB-T2, DVB-T, DVB-H, DVB-C, and DVB-S signals alongside analog TV and FM audio.
Signal analysis includes modulation error ratio (MER) of OFDM carriers, bit error rate (BER), and constellation diagrams for digital channels. Channel impulse response and frequency-dependent MER are measured. QAM cable signals, QPSK/8PSK satellite signals, and terrestrial OFDM signals receive full measurement support. MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video decoding with transport stream analysis displays network ID, program ID, service ID, service names, and service profiles.
Analog TV measurements include videoscope function, signal level, video-to-audio ratio, and carrier-to-noise measurements across PAL (B/G, D/K, I, M), SECAM (B/G, D/K, L), and NTSC standards. Video and audio outputs are provided. FM sound broadcasts are demodulated with audio playback through the built-in loudspeaker.
