The Rohde & Schwarz SMJ100A is a vector signal generator delivering 100 kHz to 6 GHz coverage for demanding wireless communication development, production, and aerospace applications. It combines a 200 MHz I/Q modulator RF bandwidth with exceptional phase noise performance and supports a comprehensive range of digital standards from GSM/EDGE through LTE Advanced. The instrument handles arbitrary waveforms up to 64 Msamples, generates signals spanning 80 MHz bandwidth via its internal baseband generator, and provides setting times below 5 ms—typically 1.5 ms or faster. Its electronic attenuator operates across the full frequency range and level span, while a high-stability reference oscillator ensures precision across multiple modulation types and standards.
