Measurement Capabilities
The EM6400 delivers true RMS measurements across all electrical parameters: per-phase voltage (line-to-neutral and line-to-line), current, demand, active power (W), apparent power (VA), and reactive power (VAr). Integrated energy totals include kWh, kVARh, and kVAh. Four-quadrant energy measurement captures bi-directional, absolute, and net energy flow.
Advanced diagnostics include neutral current, frequency, power factor (signed, four-quadrant), load percentage, voltage and current unbalance, phase angle, on-hours, run-hours, and interruption counts. Harmonic analysis extends to the 15th harmonic with individual component measurement and total harmonic distortion (THD) for both voltage and current per phase. Phase-wise load percentage relative to full scale (%A FS), average current (Iavg), and average voltage (Vavg) are logged continuously.
Accuracy Performance
Active energy accuracy meets Class 1.0 per IEC 62053-21 and Class 0.5S per IEC 62053-22. Reactive energy conforms to Class 2 per IEC 62053-23. THD and harmonic accuracy achieve Class 5P per IEC 61557-12. Standalone measurements specify ±0.5% for current, voltage (L-N and L-L), and power; ±0.05% for frequency; and ±0.01 for power factor.
