The Scientific Test 6008 is a multifunction USB data acquisition device that combines analog input/output, digital I/O, and counter capabilities in a compact, bus-powered form factor. Designed for laboratory measurement, data logging, and embedded OEM applications, it delivers 8 single-ended or 4 differential analog input channels at 10 kS/s aggregate sampling with 12-bit differential or 11-bit single-ended resolution. Two 12-bit analog output channels operate at up to 150 Hz across 0 to 5 V ranges. The device features 12 individually configurable digital I/O lines, a 32-bit counter with software or external triggering, and hardware overvoltage protection to ±35 V. Full-Speed USB connectivity eliminates external power supplies—typical current draw is 80 mA with 500 mA maximum. Screw-terminal connectors accept 16 to 28 AWG wiring, and the 84 g (with connectors) profile fits lab benches and portable test setups. Operating range spans 0 °C to 45 °C with 10% to 90% RH non-condensing humidity.
