The Sony XC-711 is a compact NTSC CCD color camera module engineered for integration into industrial imaging, process control, and surveillance systems. It combines a 2/3-inch IT CCD sensor with a primary color vertical stripe filter to deliver excellent color separation while maintaining full vertical color resolution. The camera outputs 330 TV lines of horizontal and vertical resolution with 252 × 246 effective pixels, producing minimal geometric distortion and natural color reproduction. Composite and component video outputs accommodate diverse signal processing chains. External synchronization supports three signal types—Restart, Reset, and HD/VD with VS—enabling flexible system timing. Variable electronic shutter speeds from 1/125 sec to 1/10000 sec address dynamic lighting conditions. The rugged design resists vibration and mechanical shock, while the C-mount lens interface supports auto iris lenses. At 1.1 kg and 44 × 210 × 200 mm, the XC-711 fits space-constrained installations without sacrificing optical performance.
