The SYNRAD J48-1W is a sealed CO2 laser designed for direct integration into industrial marking, engraving, and material processing systems. Operating at 10.6 μm with 1 W output power, this RF-excited laser delivers stable, controlled beam output via PWM modulation. The all-metal tube construction combines waveguide robustness with free-space alignment simplicity, producing a square beam at the aperture that transitions to circular geometry at ~1 m distance. Powered by 30-32 VDC input, the laser features an integrated display for real-time operational monitoring and accepts TTL control signals via rear-mounted BNC connector for pulse gating and power adjustment. A DB-9 interface provides remote operation, fault diagnostics, and interlock management. Air and water-cooled variants are available. Measuring 71 × 99 × 432 mm and weighing 4.1 kg, the J48-1W mounts in overhead or gantry configurations without requiring external support structures.
