Equipment info

The Yokogawa DL7100 is a 4-channel digital oscilloscope built for precision waveform capture and analysis in demanding measurement environments. Operating at 500 MHz analog bandwidth with 1 GS/s maximum sampling rate per channel, it delivers 8-bit vertical resolution across a 2 mV/div to 10 V/div sensitivity range. An optional 16-bit logic input channel extends monitoring capability to mixed-signal applications, while configurable record lengths up to 8 MS/s per channel support extended acquisition windows without data compromise.

Technical Specifications

Analog Channels
• 4 channels, 500 MHz bandwidth (DC to 300 MHz at 5–2 mV/div; DC to 400 MHz at 10 V–10 mV/div with passive probe model 700988)
• Input impedance: 1 MΩ/20 pF (standard) or 50 Ω (with optional adapter)
• Vertical sensitivity: 2 mV/div to 10 V/div
• Maximum input: ±400 V (DC + AC peak)
• Input coupling: DC, AC, GND
• Selectable input filters: 100 MHz or 20 MHz band limits per channel

Logic Channels
• Optional 16-bit logic input with 80 MHz toggle frequency (using narrow-pitch IC clip set B9852ES)

Sampling & Memory
• 1 GS/s per channel maximum sampling rate
• Record length: up to 8 MS/s per channel (2 MW, 4 MW, 8 MW, or 16 MW configurations available)
• History memory: 2048 frames of waveform data

Display & Interface
• 8.4-inch color TFT liquid crystal display
• All-points and P-P compression display modes
• Waveform update: up to 30 Hz (1 M words/channel); up to 60 Hz (10 kΩ all-points)
• Zoom and History Search functions

Triggering
• Sources: 4 analog channels, external 100 MHz trigger input, logic input, power line
• Enhanced modes: A→B(n), A delay B, OR, Pattern, Pulse width, TV, Logic, external edge
• Pulse width detector with upper/lower limit thresholds

Analysis & Measurements
• FFT analysis and math functions with DSP capability
• Automatic voltage, frequency, RMS, and pulse count measurements
• 8-bit synchronous serial bus analysis (inter-IC communications)
• Optional CAN bus analysis (Version 2.0B, up to 1 Mbps)

– Key Features

• Mixed-signal capability via optional 16-bit logic input
• Extended record lengths eliminate data loss in long acquisition windows
• Configurable band-limit filters reduce noise per channel
• Advanced trigger logic handles complex signal conditions
• Serial and CAN bus protocol analysis for embedded system debug

– Typical Applications

• Power supply and converter characterization
• Digital and mixed-signal circuit validation
• Embedded system communications debug (I²C, CAN)
• Frequency-domain analysis via FFT
• Multi-channel timing and protocol verification

– Compatibility & Integration

Accepts 50 Ω and 1 MΩ input configurations. Optional CAN bus module supports automotive and industrial protocol testing. History memory allows waveform trending and anomaly detection across acquisition cycles.
