The Agilent 8720ES is a two-port S-parameter network analyzer operating from 50 MHz to 20 GHz, delivering fast, accurate characterization of RF and microwave components across magnitude, phase, group delay, and reflection/transmission parameters. Built around an integrated synthesized source, test set, and tuned receiver, it eliminates the need for external instrumentation while maintaining 100 dB dynamic range (up to 105 dB) and typical frequency stability of 10 ppm. The analyzer supports two independent measurement channels with four independent display channels, enabling simultaneous capture of forward and reverse S-parameters (S11, S21, S12, S22) and derived quantities including impedance, admittance, and SWR across Cartesian, Smith chart, and polar display formats.
