The Agilent/Keysight 83496B is an optical/electrical clock recovery module that extracts clock signals from data streams with ultra-low residual jitter, enabling precise eye-mask and jitter measurements on the Keysight 86100C Digital Communications Analyzer. Supporting continuous data rates from 50 Mb/s to 14.2 Gb/s and delivering less than 300 fs RMS residual jitter at 10 Gb/s, the module accommodates both electrical and optical inputs across single-mode and multi-mode fiber. Its phase noise analysis capability and selectable loop bandwidth architecture—from 30 kHz fixed operation to 10 MHz tunable with Option 300—address demanding metrology applications where signal integrity and measurement fidelity are critical.
