The Keysight DSO81304A is a 13 GHz real-time digital oscilloscope built for high-speed serial communications and ultra-high-speed electronic system characterization. This four-channel instrument delivers up to 40 GSa/s sampling on two channels and 20 GSa/s across all four channels, with memory depths reaching 64 Mpts at 4 GSa/s. Trigger jitter below 500 fs rms and an noise floor as low as 419 µV @ 5 mV/div enable precise capture and measurement of fast transient phenomena. The DSO81304A integrates with the InfiniiMax II 1169A probing system, which provides 12 GHz specified bandwidth, ± 3.3 V dynamic range, and ± 30 V maximum input protection. Eight-bit vertical resolution extends to 12 bits with averaging, while vertical sensitivity spans 5 mV/div with ± 5 V maximum input. Channel-to-channel isolation reaches 60 dB DC to 3 GHz, degrading to 35 dB above 8 GHz. The instrument supports PCI-Express II, Serial ATA II/III, 6 Gbs SAS, Fibre Channel, and other high-speed standards with optional compliance test packages and advanced jitter and serial data analysis capabilities.
