The Anritsu ML9001A is a single-channel optical power meter engineered for precise measurement across telecom bands and fiber applications. It delivers -100 dBm to +20 dBm measurement capability with ±5% accuracy at -23 dBm and ±0.15 dB linearity. The instrument spans 0.38 to 1.8 µm wavelength range and supports both continuous and modulated light measurement at 12 selectable frequencies including 270 Hz. A 4-digit display presents data in W, W(rel), dBm, or dB(rel) units with manual or automatic ranging. Internal reflection suppression in optical sensors and interchangeable connector adapters minimize measurement error and enable flexible deployment. GPIB automation delivers 30 ms/point response speed—exceeding 50% faster than conventional automatic measurement—while a 1 V/full-scale recorder output provides linear power-proportional signals. Automatic sensor calibration ensures accuracy across the specified wavelength range, making the ML9001A suitable for optical fiber loss characterization and optical device performance evaluation.
