The EXFO IQ-2100 Light Source is a modular optical test instrument that generates stabilized, wavelength-specific output for insertion-loss measurement, fiber verification, and return-loss testing across singlemode and multimode networks. It integrates into the EXFO IQ-200 Optical Test System and serves quality control, calibration, and acceptance testing in laboratory and manufacturing environments.

## Compatibility & Integration
The IQ-2100 operates as a plug-in module within the IQ-200 Optical Test System mainframe or expansion units. It is backward-compatible with IQS-500 and IQ-generation modules and integrates with the IQS-600 Intelligent Test System. Control is available through IQS Manager software (local) or remote operation via GPIB, RS-232, and Ethernet TCP/IP using SCPI commands or LabVIEW drivers. The host system runs on Windows-based PC architecture.
