The HP/Agilent 70910A is a wide bandwidth RF section module designed for integration into the HP 70000 Series modular spectrum analyzer system and HP 71910A wide bandwidth receiver. Operating from 100 Hz to 26.5 GHz, this two-slot RF module delivers high sensitivity and dynamic range for demanding RF and microwave signal analysis tasks. A built-in preamplifier positioned before the first mixer enhances sensitivity across the microwave path, while a switchable bypass around the YIG-tuned filter (YTF) minimizes interference from strong unwanted signals during precision measurements. The module supports external mixer connectivity via switched local oscillator routing to the front panel, enabling millimeter-wave analysis with compatible Agilent 11974 series preselected mixers.
