The Agilent 8164A Lightwave Measurement System is a modular mainframe designed for optical testing in telecommunications, photonics research, and manufacturing. It hosts one dedicated tunable laser source slot and four general-purpose module slots for power meters, attenuators, return loss modules, and compact laser sources. The system delivers precise optical measurements through extensive triggering, synchronous multi-channel operation, and flexible connectivity options including GPIB, LAN, RS-232C, and PC Card interfaces.
