The TDK Lambda EMS6 series comprises high-frequency switch-mode DC power supplies engineered for constant voltage and constant current applications. These units deliver 600W to 5000W output across laboratory test, burn-in, industrial, and embedded system environments. Compact construction achieves high power density—up to 3.1 W/cu.in. for the 5 kW model—making them ideal for space-constrained installations. Dual-mode operation maintains voltage regulation within 0.1% across 100% load changes and current regulation within 0.1% under identical conditions. Line regulation holds output variation to 0.05% maximum over eight-hour periods under stable conditions. Temperature coefficient for output voltage is 0.02%/°C; output current is 0.03%/°C. Forced-air cooling via long-life fans ensures continuous duty performance from 0°C to 70°C ambient, with 1% per degree Celsius derating above 50°C. AC inrush current is limited by standard soft-start circuitry to less than full-load rating during turn-on, power interruption, or reapplication events. Input current varies by output power and phase configuration—a 600W unit draws maximum 11.3A at 105–125 VAC or 6.3A at 190–253 VAC; a 2.5 kW unit requires 28.5A at 190–253 VAC (10A at 47–63 Hz). Models support single and three-phase input. Storage temperature range is −55°C to +85°C.
