The Measurement Computing PCI-DAS1001 is a multifunction analog and digital I/O card for PCI bus systems, delivering 12-bit analog acquisition and output with software-configurable input modes, 24 bits of parallel digital I/O, and three 16-bit counters. Plug-and-play operation eliminates manual configuration; all hardware settings are managed through software. The board connects via a 100-pin high-density Robinson Nugent connector and draws power directly from the PCI bus.

• 16 single-ended or 8 differential channels (software-selectable)

• Input ranges — Bipolar: ±10 V, ±1.0 V, ±0.1 V, ±0.01 V; Unipolar: 0–10 V, 0–1.0 V, 0–0.1 V, 0–0.01 V

• Two channels with 12-bit D/A converters

Digital I/O
• 24 bits of parallel I/O organized as two 8-bit ports and two 4-bit ports
• Each port independently configurable as input or output

Counters
• Three 16-bit counters using 82C54 counter chip
• Two counters provide clock, gate, and output signals on the 100-pin connector
• Counter 0: ADC residual sample counter; Counter 1: ADC pacer lower divider

Calibration & Power
• Auto- and self-calibrating via software with on-board trim D/A converters
• Offset and gain calibration for analog inputs and outputs
• Calibration coefficients stored in nvRAM
• Power supplied from PCI bus
