The MKS Instruments/Newport 840-C is a handheld optical power meter engineered for precise DC and AC peak-to-peak power measurements across low to moderate power ranges. Built on dual-microprocessor architecture, the unit delivers sensitivity from 100 pW to 2 W and accommodates Newport’s 818 Series detectors via in-line calibration modules. The backlit 4-digit LCD and integrated audio indicator enable operation in variable lighting conditions and hands-free signal optimization. Analog output facilitates integration with external instrumentation.
