The National Instruments PXI-1011 is a hybrid chassis that integrates a 4-slot PXI subsystem with an 8-slot SCXI subsystem into a single instrument platform. It accepts embedded controllers or MXI-3 interfaces in the PXI section and supports signal conditioning modules in the SCXI section, enabling integrated data acquisition, signal switching, and analog/digital conditioning. The chassis operates at up to 333 kS/s and delivers 140 W maximum useable power to PXI modules. Its dual-backplane architecture—PXI with reference clock, trigger bus, and star trigger capabilities, plus SCXIbus with analog, digital, and timing interconnect—supports modular expansion for DIO, MIO, and instrument modules. CompactPCI interoperability permits installation of both PXI and CompactPCI modules.
