The Newport 8505 LDD Module is a precision laser diode driver delivering stable, accurate current sourcing for laboratory and industrial laser diode applications. Operating across a 0–500 mA range with 0.01 mA display resolution and ±(0.02% + 20 µA) measurement accuracy, this 16-bit module integrates into the Newport 8000 Series modular system for flexible multi-channel configurations. It accepts analog modulation signals from 0–10 V with 100 mA/V transfer function and supports modulation bandwidth to 350 kHz in APC mode. The module incorporates photodiode monitoring (0–5 mA range), adjustable current limiting, and advanced signal isolation between digital and analog circuits. GPIB and RS-232C remote control interfaces are available through the Model 8000 mainframe, with supplied LabVIEW drivers enabling system integration and automated control.
