The Newport MM4005 is a configurable multi-axis motion controller and driver engineered for precision positioning in industrial and research automation. Supporting 1 to 4 axes, it accommodates any combination of stepper and DC motors in both open- and closed-loop configurations. The MM4005 executes complex motion profiles through multi-axis linear and circular interpolation, 2-axis contouring, and electronic gearing for master-slave synchronization. Its digital PID servo loop with velocity and acceleration feed-forward compensation delivers stable, high-precision motion at a 0.3 ms servo cycle time.
