It delivers accurate point-to-point and incremental motion control via floating-point digital PID algorithms operating at 2 kHz servo rate, with encoder feedback and velocity servo compensation for load and friction immunity. The controller supports both DC servo (SMC100CC) and stepper (SMC100PP) motor types, accommodates motion profiles including S-gamma acceleration control and continuous jog modes, and communicates via RS-232-C (57,600 bps) with optional USB connectivity and RS-485 networking for multi-axis chaining.
